Life and Times of a Mommy(:

The End is Nigh!!!

Actually, it’s here. But I’ve always wanted to say that!!! So there ya go!! This is our last day, I apologize that it took so long to get here, but it is here.

Day Thirty. Write a letter telling yourself everything you love about yourself. (This will probably be a short letter considering my upsetness. But, it’s probably just what I need!)

Dear self,

Oh, how I love you. Let me count the ways. Your hair, your smile, your eyes, your intelligence, your hair….. Ok, seriously, bro. You are awesome. Like FRIGGIN FANTASTICALLY AMAZINGLY awesome. And don’t forget it!! Don’t argue with me either, because I know what I’m talking about. I’m you soooo duh. I’m right. Done.

Fanta-stick. Fantastic. Hee hee hee (:

Fanta-stick. Fantastic. Hee hee hee (:

So. The ways you are amazing you ask? Well. Your smart for one. You may not be that street smart, but you have an amazing capacity to retain useless information. It’s like, your specialty. You may be a little dense sometimes and have your blonde moments (I blame all the hair dye and chemicals), but they are some pretty funny ones sometimes. And you play off getting embarrassed pretty well! I mean, you have enough practice at it!

Second way that you are amazing? Well I guess it’s kind of thing that’s awesome about you. That would be your hair. Yeah it’s a little short right now and there’s this weird thing going one with this little mohawk looking thing going down your part. And those weird pieces of hair in your bangs that tend to stick straight up and not lay down right. But, your hair holds color like no other! I mean it doesn’t fade that bad and looks amazing in just about any dark color. And, it used to grow like crazy!!! (Not so much anymore, not sure why but still.) I mean, before Little Man, you had trim your bangs every couple of weeks or so so they wouldn’t be all wird lookin!

Third. Giiiiiiiiiiiirl!! Dem eyes!!! They change with what you wear and the eye shadow you wear. Yesterday they were green because you wore green eye shadow. Today they were a grayish because of the smoky eye you did. Throw on a bright or dark blue and look out baby! They are like BAM!!!! blue. So how awesome is that?! It is a tad annoying when they randomly change in the middle of the day and you have a plan for them to be one color all day and then they don’t cooperate. That’s a tad annoying.

Fourth, baby, your smile. Girl, your smile can light up a room. You may not like it, but other people love to see it. It makes people smile. Your smile can cheer so many  people up. It was of little use this weekend, sadly, but just about any other time, it works. Sparkly and bright. So don’t ever forget that.

Now, I know you can’t do all those crazy, weird styles that look so awesome on everyone else. But girl. You can pull off some crazy eyeshadow that not many people can! And as long as you keep your balance in them, you can wear just about any heel. And, your ass looks pretty great in jeans!! Gorgeous!!! And sweetie, you can dance and your occasionally good. But it’s so much more fun to dance like an idiot! And, also, the bestsest thing ever about you, is your ability to make any awkward situation funny, or even more embarrassing. Oh, and your humor. What little sense you do have is pretty great.

So when you get down on yourself just come back to this and read it. And feel better about yourself love!!

Me (you….yourself)

Now I challenge you to write your own letter like this. Tell yourself everything you love about yourself.

Can we do it?! Yes we can!

GUYS!!!!!!!! Look. At. The. CUTENESS!!! A worm comes down from the top when you scroll and then when you roll over him he says “Get me outta here!” And if you click on him it takes you back to the top!! Try it!! Go ahead! I’ll wait!!!

Did you do it?! It’s amazing right?! And the fishies move!! And there are whales and turtles and dolphins!! AND!! When you get to the very bottom of the page and drag your mouse across the bottom the sea weed MOVES!!! How awesome!!

Ok… That’s enough of my excitement. You guys tell me what you think!! I love getting your opinions! 😀

Okay. So we have two days left in the 30 Days of Truth. They will be split into two different posts. At least one will be today (because we are about to do it…not that it!! Geez get your mind out of the gutter….) but I’m not sure about the other. I feel like poop on a stick that has been run over, backed up over, and run over again by a MAC truck. It started yesterday…I woke up in the middle of the night nauseous and it continued through the day. It als seemed like I had motion sickness. Every time I moved my head felt weird and I got dizzy. And when I dropped cold coke on my hand it felt like a shard of ice sliced all the way through my hand. It was craziness. I’m a little better today but I’m still nauseous. No dizziness or anything. (No. I am NOT pregnant….)

So. We will at least do one today.

Sadly it was not Mac the MAC truck, but that would have been cool. He would have been really nice about it!!

Sadly it was not Mac the MAC truck, but that would have been cool. He would have been really nice about it!!

Day Twenty Nine. Something you hope to change about yourself and why.  Man, this thing is pretty repetitive isn’t it…. Pretty sure we did one similar to this… But we will do it again. I’m going to try not to be Mrs. Repeat and say my size again soooooo….. I would chaaaaaange…. Hmm. I really don’t know. I really want to change my education level, I guess. I want to go back to college and put a lot more effort into going. So I guess I hope to change my mentality. Because if I have a can do mentality instead of a can’t do mentality then anything is possible. Wow… That sounded so cheesy….

This’ll be Fun!!

This post. It’s gonna be a good one!!

Day Twenty Eight. What would you if you got someone pregnant or if you were pregnant? Now, considering I’m, well, a woman, if got someone pregnant I would be the richest woman ALIVE!!! Men would officially cease to be needed. (Sorry guys! We will be nice and put all y’all on a nice tropical island somewhere!!) I think it would get a little old me being the only woman to get other women’s eggos preggo, so I would be fundin’ some research!! And as much as I hate being a guinea pig, the attention would be nice!

But, if I was the one with the preggo eggo, I would be suing some doctors!!! This is gonna get a little personal for a minute, personal in way that I don’t think this was meant for buuuut, it’s a tad necessary with this one. See, I gots one of those awesome IUD thingys that keeps you from getting pregnant for like 5 years. I know they aren’t 100% effective, so I probably wouldn’t be suing anyone, but someone would definitely have some explaining to do!! In all seriousness though, I would definitely keep the baby. It wouldn’t be ideal at this point in time but I don’t believe in abortion and adoption just isn’t for me and my husband. (This truth is not about my views on abortion so that will be saved for another day.)

The end is in site!!

We are on the home stretch guys!!! Nearing the end!!! So random thing here before we get started. Everyone likes garlic bread right? Like to go with spaghetti? Ok so my husband and I have found a trick to making homemade garlic bread. It saves a lot of money and is a lot easier to make. And sometimes tastes better! What you do is you take some butter, stick butter or regular butter, put it in a bowl with some garlic powder and mix it together until you get your desired taste. Then take bread, whatever kind you want, the texas toast kind or just plain sandwich bread, and you put it in the toaster. Toast the bread to the desired doneness, personally I only like my toast to be a light brown color. Then spread the garlic butter on your toast, and viola!! Delicious garlic bread at half the cost!! You can also use this with the big baguette loaves. But you obviously can’t toast it in your toaster, unless you have an huge toaster. So I do this bread in the oven. But now for today’s truth!

Doesn't that look amazing?!

Doesn’t that look amazing?!

Day Twenty Seven. What is the best thing going for you right now? The fact that I have an amazing family!! My dad and my step mom and my step brother and my husband and my kids. They are amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better family!!! They keep me going and keep me strong. They ma not always understand what is going on with me but they do their best.  And I love them so very much!!

To my best friend…Something to make you think about me!

Day Twenty Four. Make a playlist to someone and explain why you picked that song. Now, keep in mind that my best friend and I are 90s kids. So that will explain a lot of the songs.

So this is going to be two separate posts. Day twenty four is a letter. So that will be next!

Day Twenty Three. I’m being totally serious when I say this. I wish I had tried different foods when I was younger. Normally, when I see a question like “what do you wish you had done in your life?” I think of something adrenaline packed like sky diving or bungee jumping. Which I have no desire to do. So. I wish I had tried more foods. I’m a SUPER picky eater. It would be easier to give you guys a list of foods I do like rather than don’t like. Which makes things like getting someone at work to order my food or making my boys eat vegetables really difficult. Sometimes, it’s embarrassing. I’ve had many people make fun of me and be rude to me because I don’t like stuff.

Day Twenty Five and Day Twenty Six. The reason I think I’m still alive today. My son. Plain and simple. That post also talks about the time I wanted to give up on life and why.

Man, what is with this?!

It keeps trying to make me regret things!! Geez!!

Day Twenty-Two.

What is something you wish you had never done in your life? I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I don’t regret anything in my life. There is no reason for it. Everything that has happened to me has mad me who I am today and I don’t want to change it. But, if I absolutely must answer then I will.

I wish I hadn’t skipped the entire second semester of sophomore(10th grade) year. That’s right, ladies and gents. I missed a whole semester of school. Why? Because I could. My mom didn’t really enforce me going to school. Why? You’d have to ask her. But yeah. I missed a lot of school. It all started with my getting suspended…

The school  I went to had a block schedule, meaning classes were like an hour and a half long and we only had 4 classes a day. There were also two lunches. Which ever lunch you didn’t have, you would sit in class and read during. Well. I was sitting in geometry, talking to my friend during this reading time. The principal walked in and saw me not looking at my book so he called me to the office.

He asked me why I wasn’t reading. He didn’t say anything about me talking so I obviously wasn’t going to. I said that I was re-reading a book and I had been staring off into space thinking about the book. He bought the lie I sold and said that he was going to suspend me. (Keep in mind, this was the first time I had ever been to his office for anything. It was also the first time I had ever met the man face to face the entire time I had been at that school.) He said that I knew what I was supposed to be doing during that time and there was no excuse for me not doing it. I told him to go ahead and suspend me. I didn’t want to be there anyway. He, now acting like the concerned school official, asked why. I told him that my mom had brought me there to stay with family to get away from my step dad. He looked at me, and then reduced my suspension from four days to two. He told me to stay the rest of the say (a Wednesday) and he would see me on Monday. I went back right before finals. And failed a lot of classes. Somehow though, I managed to pull out a C in choir and an A in gym, a class I went too for a couple weeks and missed part of the final. (Yeah, my gym class had a final! The heck was up with that?! A teacher tried to make me stay, too!!)

When I moved back I had enough credits to be junior (11th grade). So instead of taking whatever I wanted for 3 classes, I took geometry, biology, and history. And I made up English and Algebra 1 during summer school. I graduated on time with a 3.5 GPA. (Go me!!) So it all turned out okay!

What kind of truth is this?!

Guys. This truth. It’s a horrible one!! The scenario: your best friend is in a car accident and you two got in a fight an hour before. What do you do?

Well, there are a lot of factors here to consider. Is she in the hospital? Was she drinking? Was her son with her? How hurt is she? Lets just say that she is, indeed in the hospital, not with anything life threatening. Her sweet baby boy was not with here and no she was not drinking.

I would drive as fast as possible to the hospital and probably get pulled over. (Because the cops in my town just don’t care that you only have half a face of make up on and you are rushing to your sick best friends bedside. You are still doing 80 in a 55 zone. Here’s your ticket, try and slow it down, and I hope your friend is okay, have a nice day.) I would sprint through the hospital yelling at the poor nurses to let me in her room before I draw more attention to myself (which isn’t possible at this point). I would then get in her room, cry, and apologize profusely even though her arm is just broken and she is just waiting on the doctor come put a cast on it.

The whole way over there, I would have been imagining some thing waaaaaaaaaay worse than it actually was. Like bones protruding from skin, internal bleeding, brain hemorrhage. You know, the works.

Time To Use Those Brains, Kiddies!!

Day Seventeen: Today’s truth is abut a book you have read that has changed your views on something. Personally, I’m a very avid reader so this shouldn’t be hard for me, right? Wrong! I read fiction, romance, paranormal, and the like. I don’t read non fiction or biographies. The last biography I read I was in fourth or fifth grade and it was Clara Barton’s. And technically that was an autobiography. And it wasn’t by choice.

So. Here’s what I want you guys to do. I want you, my lovely followers, to tell me about a book that had changed your views on something. A) it will give me some new books to check out, and B) you just might change my views too!! Comment away guys!! I’d love to hear what you think!!

Day Sixteen

We are halfway to the end guys!! Woooo!!!! So today is something or someone you could definitely live without. Not this is an easy one. I could definitely live without Pintrest. (If you have never heard of this site or been on this site do not, I repeat DO NOT click on that link. You will be sucked in you will NEVER. LEAVE.

Reasons why I could do without Pintrest:

It’s addicting. Like seriously. It’s like someone injected meth into you every time you looked at the site so now you feel weird and incomplete without it. It’s like you find no color or happiness in the world without Pintrest. It’s craziness. Plus it has some amazing projects on there that look so fun. And money saving tips. And yummy food.

The projects and recipes. You will never, and I mean never, be able to recreate the beautiful masterpieces that you see. It’s impossible. My recipes just turn into unflattering masses of food. They may be delicious but the plate does not look near as good as those professional, edited pictures. The projects on the other hand. They just go horrible wrong. It’s depressing.

The amount of time wasted. I spend hours, HOURS on Pintrest. That time could be better spent thinking up fun things for you guys, or watching Supernatural, or reading a book. There are just so many other things I could be doing instead of looking at work out regimens hat make me tired just thinking about them, delicious looking food that will never turn out that way, and entirely too expensive clothes that I will never wear or be able to buy.

So. I could definitely do without Pintrest. It does nothing but depress me by causing unreal expectations when it comes to fashion, cooking, looking skinny, make up, and “ingenious” projects. Will I make the decision to beat my addiction? No, probably not. It’s just too amazing!!
