Ok so I know that they are trying to Stamp Out Smoking, but this is getting a little ridiculous. I mean I remember the original SOS adds. (Turns out that might just be an Arkansas thing. Thanks Google…) They got your attention and got to the point and were done. But these new ones…. Guys I have no idea what they are talking about… I’m assuming it has something to do with that new app Tinder? But I don’t know…

For those of us who are already married and don’t use Tinder, I’m not totally for sure how this is supposed to relate to us… Personally, I looked at Tinder for about 2.7 seconds. But I get most of my information about the website from single people who I see on The Berry and stuff like that. (Ladies, if you haven’t checked out The Berry, I highly suggest it. It is amazing!)

I understand all the complications of smoking. Probably more than anyone. Considering my mom died of a stroke, which smoking contributes to, and my great-grandfather died of a heart attack and emphysema. The side effects of smoking has affected my life greatly, however, in times of great stress, I find myself wanting to pick up a Marlboro red 100 to relive the stress. The same brand that my mother smoked. I know it isn’t good for me but I but a pack literally every six months if that. But these commercials are just getting out of hand. I think it’s a little ridiculous.

Upon googling the link for the #leftswipedat commercial, I instead found the link for the full music video. I skimmed it and it looks like they left a lot of stupid stuff out. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about stamping out smoking, and by all means make your commercials relatable. But this is pushing it just a little. I mean I didn’t know what the thing was talking about at first… Still don’t really understand it. But here is the commercial for you all to see for yourself!

 

Happy Birthday to Meeeeeeee!!!

1 year baby!!!

Well actually it’s my WordPress-iversary. It doesn’t feel like one year… Probably because I suck and can’t write regular posts… But seriously, thanks to everyone who’s been here for the ride!! (No worries, it’s going to continue!!)

So, I have great news!!! As of September 9, I will officially have a job!!! I will roll over onto company time instead of the temp agency’s time. I will also get a $4 raise!!! I will be making AMAZING money!! The look on hubby’s face when I told what I was making was hilarious. I won’t tell you what I’m making because I’m trying to keep this as confidential as possible. (I’m sure you guys understand.) But I will say I’m making $3 more than my husband and $3.30 more than a friend that is living with us. So. Needless to say I’m pretty excited.

Sadly, I couldn’t get a good Carlton dance.. This was the best I could get for a happy dance.

 

But, of course, it’s month end so my happy dance wasn’t that enthusiatic. Thursday of last week, I asked my boss if she needed help with anything. She handed me some stuff to veryify VIN and unit numbers on. Then I had to match them up with this peice of paper, highlight the numbers, and FedEx them. By Friday. (They got sent yesterday.) I couldn’t find the numbers anywhere so my boss printed of the sheets and it took be about an hour and a half to find them all and highlight them. Then last Friday I was informed that I have to clean up someone else’s mess with overdue invoices. Yipee!!! …. Not. I just through away a buch a few weeks ago because I was told it’s ok. Now I get to chase them all down again. This is all on top of everything else. But I will stop complaining now… Sorry….

In other news.  A friend of hubby’s that was stationed in North Carolina in the Marines has moved in with us. He’s a great guy, when his wife isn’t causing problems… Him and her lived together there but she came running back here without him. So he is living with us and they are about to go through a huge custody battle and probably a divorce. So there’s that fun. But my husband finally has a friend home that I actually get along with so I’m not complaining. Too much… ;D

Well, the hubster just got done cooking so I’m going to go stuff my face like a fatty now (: Ohhhhh! And I’ve also started running!!! I ran a half mile last thursday and 1.3 miles Sunday. Ok…I walked some of it to. But still, it’s the effort that counts!! Hopefully I will get to run tomorrow with the girls at work. I haven’t ran all week /: I’m a slacker!! But, guys, have a safe and happy 3 day weekend!! And don’t drink too much!!!\

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiits Moooooooooooooooooooondaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D!!!

Just kidding I’m really not that excited about it. First I didn’t go to sleep till like one this morning. So then I coulnd’t get up this morning. And last night while I couldn’t sleep, I washed my make up brushes. Seriously guys, they were dis-gus-ting. When I wash them out I use a tad bit of whatever oil I have (the recipe thing actually calls for olive oil, but when you are broker than a joke, you use what ya got), a tad bit of dish soap, and a tad bit of water. I stir it up with my finger and then I start swirling my brush in it. Then I rinse in luke warm water and lay them out to dry. You are supposed to hang them to dry, but again, I’m broke so I use what I got, which happens to be a dish towel. So I finally drag my lazy ass outta bed and take a shower and what not. Then the next morning I use them like normal.

Well. Apparently, I wasn’t paying attention to rinsing them. Because this morning when I was putting on my foundation, my face got uber oily and greasy. By the time I got done putting my base one, there was soap coming out of my brush. Awesome right?! My solution was the obvious choice. Rinse the brush out. Which I did, before I put on my powder. I realized my mistake after the fact of course. So then I used my blush brush that really needs to be retired. So make make up looked like crap. And my eyeliner looked like a four old did it. Then, I realized I didn’t have anything for breakfast, or lunch, other than pretzels. And I was totally swamped all afternoon at work. On top of being tired.

Buuuuuuuuuut!!! An amazing thing happened!!  I was nominated for an award!! It’s called the Shine On Award. The comment that was left about it totally made my day!! Ms. Jane from Jane’s Journal nominated me!! Totally just made my Monday a jillion times better so thank you oh so much ma’am!!!

First. Bubbles are fun. Bubbles are nice. Who doesn’t like bubbles?! Bubbles and spring images seem like the would go together. Right? Second. Someone apparently likes reading about search terms. Will ArKids pay for ear, nose, and throat? Yes, yes they will. IF you have a referral from your doctor. If the original referral has expired, you will need to get another one. If you have changed doctors since the referral expired, you will need to let your doctor know and go to their office and have  check up and let them issue another referral. If you do not have a referral you will have to pay for the visit your self. It will be an out-freaking-rageous price for whatever you need done. So, I suggest you do everything in your power to get a referral.

Ouchies, Booboos, and Other Fun Stuffs!!

Soooo….. I managed to almost kill my self….. Well, not really. Friday, I tweaked my knee somehow and it hurt like behind my knee cap and felt like my knee was about to blow, like there was a lot of pressure back there. Well it got better. Yesterday I wore some ridiculously high heels. I assume I stepped wrong and tweaked it again. This time though it hurts to put weight on it, it hurts to push on the break pedal, it hurts to bend it…it just hurts! In a different spot. It hurts to the left of my knee cap. So. I’m just hoping it feels better soon. I’m about to just chop my leg of from the just above the knee down. Maybe that will make it feel better….

I know you guys just love my randomness. So. Here is a very fun piece of randomness for ya! I use and excessive about of ….. and !!!!. Has anyone else noticed that about me? I do it when texting and typing comments on places…. See??? Exhibit A…. And B…. And…well you get the point. BUT. My other piece of randomness that you guys DIDN’T know is that I’m a grammar Nazi but personally, I hate typing capital letters… I would rather not use them. It causes extra work for my pinkies and it causes hand cramps. Especially when typing at awkward positions with a lap top!

Well. Thanks for hanging out tonight/today kiddos! It’s time for this momma to fall asleep to the sweet melodious sounds of Sam and Dean Winchester!! (Well, I won’t actually fall asleep to that… More like complete and utter silence…)

I was going to leave all my lovely lady readers with a picture of a very sexy man to dream about tonight (since my post was all about me instead of super interesting stuff and because you got a picture of gorgeous shoes up there and all you need to go with them is a sexy man) buuuuuuuuuuut there are just so many!! Randomeness!!

This is going to be a giant post of nothing but random stuff. So. Just warning everyone!!!

First random thought up is the new show I’m watching. It’s not new but it’s new to me. Its called Supernatural. I was looking through the 3 Chic Geeks‘ blog and I found a really neat list they have. The list is called “Fictional boys we would like to date (who would make horrible boyfriends)”. On this list they have people like Draco Malfoy, Sam and Dean Winchester, and BBC’s version of Sherlock Holmes. (I won’t put everyone because I don’t want to ruin the awesomeness of this list.) Reading through this list and “More fictional boys we would like to date (who would make even worse boyfriends)”, it made me want to watch a couple of these shows. One was Supernatural. So, thanks to the amazingness of Netflix, I’m watching it. I’m pretty sure I’m still only in the first season and ohmigosh guys!!! Its ah-freaking-mazing!! Now, I don’t suggest watching it if you don’t like horror movies. It gets pretty intense!!

On top of an amazing show you have these two sexy, sexy men to look at. (Apparently a third very sexy man comes in later on but I’m not sure who he is yet..)

The second piece of randomness is I mowed our yard for the first time this year!! Well.  I didn’t, my husband did. I just spread out the leaves on the dead spots in the year. Hubby then mowed over them for mulch. But! what grass is growing (which is surprisingly a lot) is super green and feels amazing on my feet! Well, at least I think it does… I know the grass at my grandma’s feels good on my feet! I walked around barefoot and hunted eggs with my youngest.

The last piece of randomness is  that my baby, actually my oldest but I call him my baby, will be three years old in eleven days. I can’t believe it!! It is just crazy!!!! Time has really flown!! He has gotten so big so fast! He repeats everything you say, he’s pretty much completely potty trained (well he is but we still have accidents at night but that’s it), he’s super tall, and he will be in pre-k next year!! Oh my goodness!! Just crazy!! (And, in 10 days this momma will be 21!! Woo Woo!!!)
